02 Application engineering
Applications
01
Transformer substations
Medium-voltage incoming and transformer feeder panels provide switching, isolation and protection between the supply network and transformers. The single-line diagram defines the panel functions and busbar arrangement. System voltage, fault level, CT/VT requirements and relay coordination must be established together with cable access and maintenance space.
02
Industrial distribution networks
Plants with several transformer substations use medium-voltage feeders to distribute power across the site. A radial or ring arrangement needs a defined switching philosophy, interlocks and protection coordination. Cable characteristics, earthing arrangements and operating procedures guide panel selection; remote indication and control depend on the site's supervision requirements.
03
Buildings and infrastructure
Campuses, transport facilities and large commercial developments use medium-voltage switchgear upstream of their low-voltage distribution. Transformer capacity and the required supply arrangement determine feeder functions and metering. Room access, cable termination space, ventilation and pressure-relief provisions must be assessed against the selected equipment and installation design.

Electrical values entered here are requested requirements. Equipment ratings must match the selected model and its technical datasheet.
An MV supply above the displayed model rating requires a different verified equipment class; selecting a voltage is an inquiry, not confirmation of availability.
04 Construction and options
Construction & configuration options
Panel functions
Incoming, outgoing, metering and bus-coupling functions organise the medium-voltage distribution lineup.
Switching arrangement
The selected switching device provides circuit switching and interruption for its assigned duty. Device type and construction remain linked to the documented model.
Protection & measurement
Protection relays and CT/VT arrangements provide the specified protection and measurement functions for each circuit.
Operating interlocks
Mechanical and electrical interlocks control the operating sequence and restrict incompatible switching operations.
Cable termination
Cable compartments organise the terminations, cable routing and access needed for installation and maintenance.
Compartments & model ratings
Main-circuit and control compartments organise equipment and access. Voltage, current and withstand ratings remain tied to the selected model and its technical documents.
05 Applicable standards and requirements
Standards & engineering
Project specification
Provide the applicable standard editions, destination requirements and tender specification.
Rating schedule
Keep the electrical ratings and installation limits linked to the selected model.
Verification documents
Identify the required inspection records, test reports and acceptance criteria.
Supply scope
Specify the lineup, switching devices, relay engineering, test scope and documents as separate quotation items. Availability and deliverables require confirmation; requested options do not confirm inclusion.
