02 Application engineering
Applications
01
Lighting and final circuits
Floor and area distribution boards divide the supply into lighting, socket and dedicated equipment circuits. A circuit schedule establishes load allocation, phase balance and spare ways. Protective devices, residual-current protection where required, neutral arrangements and clear circuit identification are selected for the connected loads and earthing system.
02
Local industrial distribution
Sub-distribution boards supply workshop equipment, maintenance outlets and auxiliary loads close to the point of use. Feeder and branch protection must coordinate with the upstream board and suit the local fault level. Load duty, cable entries and accessible isolation determine the circuit arrangement and enclosure dimensions.
03
Pump rooms and outdoor services
Boards for pumps, external lighting and service equipment need an enclosure suited to the installation location. Rain, dust, condensation and corrosion influence material, protection and cable-entry choices. Mounting position, maintenance access and the load schedule should be established before specifying the completed board.

04 Construction and options
Construction & configuration options
Incoming protection
The incoming device provides the isolation and protection functions specified for the board's supply arrangement.
Outgoing circuits
Outgoing protective devices organise lighting, socket and equipment circuits, together with the required spare ways.
Enclosure & mounting
Wall-mounted and floor-standing layouts organise the devices, door access and fixing points for the installation.
Metering & indication
Metering and indication show the electrical quantities and circuit status covered by the selected devices.
Wiring & identification
Wire marking, terminal numbering and circuit labels keep the internal connections and outgoing circuits identifiable.
Cable entry & environment
Cable entries, enclosure material and sealing form part of the installation arrangement. Protection requirements remain linked to the selected enclosure.
05 Applicable standards and requirements
Standards & engineering
Project specification
Provide the applicable standard editions, destination requirements and tender specification.
Rating schedule
Keep the electrical ratings and installation limits linked to the selected model.
Verification documents
Identify the required inspection records, test reports and acceptance criteria.
Supply scope
State whether the supply includes the enclosure, assembled protective devices, internal wiring and circuit documentation. Availability and deliverables require confirmation; requested options do not confirm inclusion.
Yes. Select the required roles and cable entry directions together. Mounting and installation location each use a single selection.
What determines the number of outgoing circuits?+
The panel schedule and load list define the outgoing circuits. Include protective devices, load currents and spare ways for each board.
What information is needed for outdoor installation?+
Provide exposure conditions, enclosure requirements, cable entry and mounting details. Indoor and outdoor selections do not by themselves specify an IP rating.
